Here we are, in Bangladesh at last. It's hard to believe how quickly our lives have changed, h0w one day we thought we may have to move out of state and the next day Bangladesh sort of fell into our lap. It's been quite a journey to get here, but we are settling in and doing fine. Here we are at a little restaurant in Dhaka, waiting for some Mughlai Parotas ( kinda like a big crispy tortilla with eggs, onions and hot peppers inside of it) for a snack. The boys were real troopers, trekking all over with us, looking for furniture and all kinds of stuff. They had the most fun at Bongo Bazaar, where we found lots of clothes for them. I thought they would hate it, but they really got into it, carefully checking each little stall for a Spiderman shirt, or something cool like that and trying to be patient while we bargained for our finds. They weren't as thrilled when we had to shop for fabric to cover our sofa cushions or bread pans... but it had to be done. We tried to take them to some of our old favorite eating places, only to find they have been replaced by high rise buildings or are just not there any more. After 2 weeks in Dhaka, shopping, seeing friends and getting over jet lag, as well as getting to know our team here, we moved to Mymensingh. Jensen and Austin had spent a couple of days up here prior to our coming, getting the apartment painted and having screens put in the windows. It was so good to get out of the noise and pollution of Dhaka and find our place on a quiet narrow street here. We have moved into a 3rd floor apartment with 3 bedrooms, a living-dining area, 2 bathrooms, a small kitchen and 2 verandahs (which are enclosed with iron grills and make great climbing places for little boys who enjoy watching the people pass by on the street). By now we are feeling pretty settled in. We are waiting for a couple pieces of furniture yet but it is fast becoming home. The boys were quite happy to find their toys as we unpacked. Now that we have started school again, things feel even more normal. I'm still getting used to having household help, but more on that another day.

Before we moved up, we went to the Botanical Gardens with our new team mates. Here are the boys with their new friends. As you can see, our boys haven't changed at all!
